There is a computer lab that can only be accessed through my office. It is clearly labeled as “The Assessment Center.” There are signs on the door that say do not enter without a testing lab assistant. My computers are already set up for the test and the test only. Still there seems to be some confusion.

In the past week:

1) I turned around to find an overbearing father had walked into the lab and was talking to his son.

2) A controlling husband followed me into the lab, and when I told him to get back in my office he just stood in the doorway and kept talking to his wife..while other people were testing

3) Students looking for an open computer lab are angry because I won’t let them use the computers in the lab.

I’m just confused. And the best part is, I get to be the bad guy because these people can’t seem to use basic common sense. Oh I long for the day when I work for myself and I work from home….
